Parents and guardians signing up for events

Your name, phone number, email (optional), the language you prefer, your child’s grade, and where you live (optional). Invitations go to you, the parent or guardian.

We do not ask for your child’s name, birthdate, school, address or contact details.

Mentors

Your name, email, phone number, what you do, and your career area. Anything more we need before an event, such as how to check your credentials, we ask for by email afterwards.

To send event invitations, plan numbers, bring mentors who match students’ interests, and check mentors’ credentials. We use each piece of information only for the purpose we collected it for.

• Our website and its sign-up database run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may store and process your information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
• Cloudflare keeps standard web logs, including your IP address, for a short time for security.
• If we contact you by WhatsApp, text or email, that message also passes through that service.

Only named Buniyaad organizers who need it to run events. We never sell, rent or trade your information, and never share it with employers.

We photograph events only where people have given permission, and we never publish a child’s name with a photo.

• Student sign-ups: deleted 12 months after the student’s most recent event, or sooner if you ask.
• Mentor information: kept while you mentor, then deleted 12 months after your last event.
• If you ask us to delete your information, we do it within 30 days.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, at any time: privacy@buniyaad.ca.
